How to Record No Pay Activities

This document contains a step by step guide on how to record no-pay activities. You will need the Punch Clock module to access this feature.

  Instructions

Unpaid Activities can be used for any type of activities where employees would receive no payout.

This would include activities like:

  • Sick Leave

  • Bereavement

Unpaid Activities WILL NOT appear on any payroll reports.

  1. Firstly, you’ll need to add ‘Unpaid’ activities. Click this link to learn how.

  2. Once you have added your unpaid activities, you can go ahead and record employee time against that activity.

    1. Log in to the Android or iOS mobile app on your device.

    2. From the dashboard, tap the Punch Clock option from the list.

    3. From the Punch Clock menu choose Punch In / Switch.

    4. From the Punch In page you can choose one or more employees from the list, or tap the barcode icon to scan employee badges.

       

      1. Tapping a work crew will select all the employees under that crew.

      2. On the Scan Badges screen, the employees' names and badge numbers will appear in the list below the camera view as they're scanned. Tap Done when finished.

    5. Once employees are selected, tap Next to proceed.

    6. From the Punch In form choose the Start Time and End Time for that employee's no pay hours.

      1. Select Activity, and filter for your ‘Unpaid Hours’. Here, you will then select the ‘no pay activity’ for that employee.

    7. Tap Punch In. A message should appear saying the punch was successful.
