How to control access to employees by location

This document contains a how-to step by step guide on how to update an employee's Work Locations to work with Role Group assignment by location. See How to assign permissions to users (Advanced Permissions) for more information.. You will need the Punch Clock module to access this feature.

Step-By-Step Guide

  1. Navigate to Punch Clock → Employees.

  2. Choose an employee to edit and click Edit under the actions menu. You can also set an employee's Work Locations when adding a new employee. See How to Add Employees for more information.

  3. Scroll down to the Permissions section.

  4. Select one or more Work Locations the employee works in. This is a list of farms that corresponds to the Field Map page. This will limit access to this employee to users who have access to at least one those locations. Users without access to any of the specified locations will not have access to this employee.

  5. If the organization is selected, all farms will have access.

  6. Click Save to apply your changes.



If you leave the Work Locations field blank, it will default to the whole organization.
