Anatomy of a Report

Below, we’ll go over some of the main components you can expect to see on Croptracker reports:

This is one of the many reports that Croptracker has to offer. Most of the reports in Croptracker will follow this structure.

Report Title: This is the title of the report

Report Filters: Filters can be used to select a date range, crop type, variety, or other data point to refine your results. Some reports will not generate unless filters are selected.

Report Header: The report header may include information about the timestamp, date, organization, etc.

Report Table Summary: This shows the number of results displayed, the search bar to filter displayed rows, and the buttons to download visible (data table) results from your browser in various file forms. Some reports can be sorted by column by clicking on the arrows in the column header.

Report Table: Contains the report table or graphic as organized by applied filters.

Using the Search Panes in Report Filters (Filtering by Block/Row)

To assist with filtering reports, Croptracker allows users to limit the data by a selected location, typically blocks or rows. As more blocks and rows are added, the list can become very large and difficult to navigate. To find specific items in the list of blocks and rows, users can use the SearchPanes option above the list to limit the available locations, making filtering the report data easier.

Once selected, the SearchPanes window will open, allowing the user to view a subset of the blocks and rows in the list according to the selected parameters. Some of these parameters include:

• Farm

• Block/Row

• Crop

• Estimated Harvest Date

• Notes

Using the Search Panes to filter report data without rerunning the report

After a report is generated, the data can sometimes still be large and difficult to navigate. Use the SearchPanes feature to instantly filter the report table and limit the data using report-specific parameters. The available filters will be generated from the report data making them unique to each report.
