Spray Rule: Inactive / Expired Chemicals

This article explains how to add an advanced permission spray rule to alert the user for when an inactive chemical has been used or expiry has been breached. This rule will use the date range applied to your chemicals to determine whether to display a warning.

Step by Step Instructions:

  1. Login to Croptracker on your browser.

2. From the ā€˜Dashboardā€™, access the ā€˜Farm Managerā€™ drop down menu in the top right corner of your screen and select ā€˜Rule Managerā€™.

3. From this screen select ā€˜+Add Ruleā€™.

4. Title and optionally add a description of the rule.

5. Optionally select the date range you would like this rule to used. Note this is not the chemical expiry date, it is the date range of the rule itself. If you would like this rule to always be applied, you can leave the date ranges blank.

Ā

6. If you would like to be able to note when a rule is overridden, toggle the check box at the bottom of the ā€˜display detailsā€™ section. This will allow the user to note why a rule was overridden. If you do not check this box, a warning will still display with no option to record a reason for overriding.

7. Select ā€˜Active Expiry Dateā€™ in the ā€˜Rule Driverā€™ dropdown down list.

8. Hit ā€˜Saveā€™ when you are done to return to the list of rules. You can edit or disable rules from this list as needed.
