Rule Manager

This guide will describe how to add rules for Spray events. When the rules are violated, a warning will be generated in Step 4 of the Spray event.

You can add a category to work logs to group them with custom tags - for example, if you will be harvesting for export, you can create an export activity category to tag all your harvest work logs for export.

Step-by-step guide:

  1. From the Dashboard navigate to Farm Manager > Rule Manager

  2. Click Add Rule

  3. Enter a Rule Label, for example, “Only use organic chemicals on organic blocks”

  4. Set the Rule Message, for example, “Please review the chemicals to make sure only organic safe chemicals are used.”

  5. Set the Effective as of and Effective until date ranges

  6. If you want to force the user to override before saving the Spray Event, set the checkbox Check to indicate this rule must be fixed or overridden

  7. Set the Rule Driver to the desired rule, for example, “Organic Chemicals Only”

Example: Set up the chemicals and blocks for Organic Chemicals Only

  1. In the Field Map you can edit a block and change its Organic status to Yes

  2. In the Chemicals manager you can edit a chemical to set its organic status

  3. If a non-organic-safe chemical is used on a block marked organic, a rule violation warning appears in Step 4 of the Spray Event

  4. If you click Override you can bypass the warning by supplying a reason
