Creating an Inspection Event

This article will go through the steps to create an Inspection event using Croptracker’s Quality Control Module. For more information on the Quality Control module or to add it to your Croptracker account, contact support@croptracker.com.

Step-by-step Instructions:

1.Login to the Croptracker mobile app.

2. Hit Quality Control from the main screen.

3. Hit the plus button in the top right corner to create a new event.

4. Enter the Start and End Date of the inspection event. (The start date will default to the time the event is created and the end date is optional.)

5. Optionally Title the event.

6. Optionally add Categories to this event. (See linked article for more information on setting up Event Categories.)

7. The Status of the event will default to 'Active' and should generally not need to be changed. (The event status can be changed to remove an event from reporting or to be used with advanced permission. For more information on statuses, contact support@croptracker.com.)

8. Enter a Lot Code. This can be an identifier that will link what you are inspecting to your records.

9. Optionally enter any Comments or Notes as needed.

10. Once the event details are entered, hit the green '+ Add Inspection' at the bottom of the screen.

11. Select the appropriate Inspection Template from the list. (See linked article for more information on setting up Inspection Templates.)

12. Optionally update the Date and Status of the inspection. (The date will default to the time the inspection was added and the status will default to ‘Active’.)

13. Optionally change the number of Specimens. (Changing the specimen number will change the number of slots in any ‘grid type’ Spec.)

14. Optionally hit Inventory to add inventory to this inspection. You will be taken to a searchable list of inventory in your account. This will tie the information in this inspection to inventory created in Croptracker for reporting purposes. (Inventory can be created in several Croptracker modules including HQV, Harvest, Packing and Receiving. For more information on inventory management with Croptracker, contact support@croptracker.com.)

15. Fill in the inspection details with relevant information. See screenshots below for examples of each spec type filled out. (See linked article for more information on Specs.)

16. Hit Done at the top of the Inspection page when inspection has been filled out.

17. From the Inspection Event main screen, you can add additional inspections by hitting the green '+ Add Inspection' button again, edit the event details, or hit Save in the top right corner if you are done.
