How to Add an Irrigation Site
This step-by-step guide describes how to add an Irrigation Site to the system to track soil moisture.
This guide expects that you have created a Remote Station to represent your Soil Moisture Probe. See How to Add a Weather Station for more information.
Step-by-step guide
- Under the Farm Manager menu select Irrigation Sites.
- Click Add Irrigation Site.
- Enter a Name and Description for the site.
- Select the Soil Type and Irrigation Type.
- Set the Field Capacity (how much water the soil can hold) and Ideal Irrigation Point (in % moisture).
- Select the Farm Node where the soil is being measured.
Select the Soil Moisture Probe remote station and Soil Moisture Input.
- Select the Weather Station and Weather Station Input if applicable. For example, you may want to compare rainfall to average soil moisture.
- Click Save.
- The new Irrigation Site will now appear in the list. If you have already collected data and would like to view it, proceed to Viewing Irrigation Site Data.
