  • Set the Label field to override the product title on the master and pallet tags

* The PLU refers to a type of unpackaged product type, such as a Fuji Apple, while a UPC refers to a packed product for a specific brand coming from a specific supplier. The existence of a PLU typically means the individual fruit can be “typed in” instead of scanned to obtain the price, suggesting that the fruit is sold “loose” and unpackaged. The existence of a UPC means the packed item must be unopened and scanned to get the price for the container. Combinging a PLU and UPC on a tag would indicate the same item could be sold as “loose” or packaged which is typically not allowed.
