Ā Instructions
Log in to the Croptracker website and navigate to Punch Clock > Pay Schedules
If you are creating a new pay schedule click + Add Pay Schedule or Edit an existing pay schedule. You should see a section where you can add a new piece rate
Click the + Add Field Pack Piece Rate button to bring up the piece rate details window
The Piece Rate section sets the dollar amount that is to be paid to the employee per packed master/case
The Style tells the system which packaging style the employee must pack to earn the the rate
The Product tells the system which product the employee must pack as well
By splitting Style and Product, the admin can set different payouts for different combinations
Once the information is entered, click Save
If you make any mistakes, you can Edit the piece rate at any time
Here is an example of a pay rate of $1.23 for each 2pt case of raspberries the employee packs and palletizes
Here is another example showcasing a different payout for a different product (strawberries) using the same packing style
How does it work?
The Field Pack mobile app will scan the tag on the master/case that the employee has packed
If the tag matches a Style and Product set in the Employeeās pay schedule, the systemās payroll reports can then calculate the payout
Scanning the following master tag would pay out $1.12 if the employeeās pay schedule and piece rates are set to the example above

Can I change the piece rate after the employees have finished packing?
While it is possible to edit the piece rate at any time, it is important to note that one the employee has packed a unit, the payout for that unit cannot be edited via the Pay Schedule and must be fixed by editing the Pallet directly via the Field Pack module on the Croptracker website
Ā
Do I need to update the piece rates each season?
While it is possible to change the rate each season, it is recommended that a new Pay Schedule is created entirely with new piece rates. This can be accomplished by copying the old Pay Schedule at the beginning of the new season using the Save As Copy button
