This step-by-step guide describes how to add an Irrigation Site to the system to track soil moisture.

This guide expects that you have created a Remote Station to represent your Soil Moisture Probe. See How to Add a Weather Station for more information.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Under the Farm Manager menu select Irrigation Sites.
  2. Click Add Irrigation Site.
  3. Enter a Name and Description for the site.
  4. Select the Soil Type and Irrigation Type.
  5. Set the Field Capacity (how much water the soil can hold) and Ideal Irrigation Point (in % moisture).
  6. Select the Farm Node where the soil is being measured.
  7. Select the Soil Moisture Probe remote station and Soil Moisture Input.

  8. Select the Weather Station and Weather Station Input if applicable. For example, you may want to compare rainfall to average soil moisture.
  9. Click Save.
  10. The new Irrigation Site will now appear in the list.
