Harvest Preference Menu
This article contains instructions for accessing and changing preferences in the Harvest module on the Croptracker app.

How to access Harvest Preferences:
From the dashboard press the hamburger button in the top left.
Press Preferences.
Press Harvest.
Preferences | Description of Preference | Options |

Harvest Scan Code | A “Scan Code” is a unique identifier that is encoded in the barcode or QR code on a harvest tag. Depending on your workflow when creating a new harvest input, the scan code can be populated in a few different ways: This preference is only applied when creating harvest inputs via the ‘Inputs’ tab, NOT when creating harvest inputs via an employee worklog in the ‘worklogs’ tab. | Read-only: A new scan code will be generated automatically and cannot be entered manually. Use this option if you are printing labels at the time of harvest (such as from the mobile app) External Tag - Handheld Barcode Scanner: Use a handheld barcode scanner to scan a tag that was created in another system. Croptracker will validate that the tag unique. Requires a handheld barcode scanner with wedge keyboard support. External Tag - Camera: Use the device’s camera to scan a tag that was created in another system. Croptracker will validate that the tag is unique. Croptracker Harvest Tag Set - Handheld Barcode Scanner: Use a handheld barcode scanner to scan a tag that was pre-printed by Croptracker. Croptracker will validate that the tag is unique and belongs to a legitimate Croptracker Harvest Tag Set. Requires a handheld barcode scanner with wedge keyboard support. Croptracker Harvest Tag Set - Camera: Use the device’s camera to scan a tag that was pre-printed by Croptracker. Croptracker will validate that Croptacker Harvest Tag Set. |
Bulk Scan | When making inputs (inventory) you will automatically flip back to the scanning mode after each tag is scanned. | Enabled: Continous scanning without having to press the ‘add input’ button Disabled: You will need to press the ‘add input’ button. |
Default volume unit | When you create a new harvest input the unit (what you are picking into), how should the app choose a default volume unit? | Most recent in event: Automatically select the volume unit from the most recently created inpu in the event. Specific unit: Tap to select specific unit that the app should use. |
Default worklog list date | When you navigate into a harvest event’s worklogs list, which date should be selected by default? | Today: Use the current date Event’s Date: Use the event;s start date Lastest Worklog or Today: Use the latest date of ll the worklogs in the event. If there are no worklogs in the event, use the current date. Latest Worklog or Event’s Date: Use the latest start date of all the worklogs in the event. If there are no worklogs in the event, use the event’s start date.

Print Multiple Tags | Choose what happens when you press the print button in a harvest input. | Print one tag: Default. Print one tag at a time. Print multiple tags: Print a tag for each unit harvested (up to 100 at a time). This is the amount you enter into the volume field. Useful if you want to put the same barcode on multiple bins. |
Show “Add Input” button | Shows the “Add Input” allowing you create inputs in croptracker. | Enabled: Shows button Disabled: Hides button |
Scan Employee Badges | When you tap the “add input” button in the harvest event, should the app ask you to sca employee badges. | Disabled: Use this option if you don't scan employee badges. You can still link employees to ahrvest by selecting from a list Scan single: Use this option to automatically exit the badge scanning screen after one badge is canned. This avoids having to tap “done” button. You can still add additional employees to the harvest input. Scan multiple: Use this option to stay on the badge scanning screen and scan multiple badges until you tap “Done” button. |
Automatically navigate to “Edit Harvest Input” screen | Automatically navigates you to the detailed screen after making a new input. | Enabled: This option if you want to view/edit the details of each newly created harvest input Disabled: This option if you want to stay on the list screen after adding a new harvest input. You can still manually navigate to the harvest input by tapping on it. |
