This step-by-step guide describes how to add your maps to the system from your Android phone or tablet.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Login to the Croptracker app on your Android device and select the Farm Manager option from the dashboard.
    1. Here you will see the list of all of the farms under your organisation.
    2. If this is your first visit to the Farm Manager then your list may just contain your default farm to get you started.
  2. To add a block to a farm, start by tapping on the farm.
  3. Now on the Farm screen, you'll see a summary card with more farm information and some action buttons (edit, delete, and +), as well as a list of all blocks that are under this farm.
    1. Note: These action buttons are also accessible from the blue drop down arrow next to a farm on the previous screen.
  4. To add a new block, tap the +
  5. Enter your Block Name - we recommend including the planting date in the block name if you have more than one planting of the same variety elsewhere in your organisation.

  6. Enter the Growing Area
  7. Select your Crop / Variety from the drop-down.
  8. The Parent Farm field will auto-populate to whichever farm you were just looking at - changing this will put the block under a different farm.
  9. Define the Planting Date and Plant Count. These values are used to calculate spray rates and predict yields.

    1. Note: If you're planning on creating lots of blocks at once, try checking the Create another box. This will clear the form and stay on the Add Block screen after tapping Save.
