This document will cover the Harvest Quality Vision feature that allows for lot code information to be scanned into an event and how to search events via scan.

You will need the Harvest Quality Vision module to access this feature.

 📘 Lot Code Option

Linking scans to inventory in HQV stand-alone (as opposed to HQV with harvest tracking) is normally done using the lot code field during event set up.

See How to Set Up a Harvest Quality Vision Event for a detailed guide on creating a Harvest Quality Vision event.

To allow for faster and less error prone inventory linking, Croptracker has enabled bar code scanning into the lot field. This means you can scan a bin tag or inventory barcode to populate the lot code field.

Tapping ‘Scan a lot code’ will open the camera app to allow for bar code scanning.

Once a barcode is scanned, the Lot Code field will be filled in automatically.

Croptracker has also enabled a search by scan code function on the HQV event list so it is easy to find and add to HQV events as needed.

Clicking the scan icon on the event list will launch the camera app to allow for bar code scanning.

When the code is scanned, the relevant event will open right away for editing or adding additional scans.
