This document contains a how-to step by step guide on how to upload HQV scans and view results on the Croptracker mobile app.

You will need the Harvest Quality Vision module to access this feature.

Important to noteNotes:

To view results, your device must be connected to Wifi Wi-Fi or Data.

The Croptracker app must be open and displayed in order for data to be uploaded. Do not switch apps or close Croptracker when awaiting results as it will pause the upload process.

The screen of your device must not go to sleep while uploading. If you are uploading many results at once, changing your device settings to turn off the screen saver is advised.

If you are When uploading many scans at once/the end of the day, the upload process may take timelonger than expected. Each scan can take about a minute to upload, so if there are hundreds of scans on the device to uploadbeing uploaded at the end of the day, it can could take hours. Please plug in your device and keep Croptracker open to ensure all scans upload as expected.

As long as the bar at the top is orange, the app is uploading data. This data can be scans as well as any other data points entered into the app. If it is taking a long time that usually means it is uploading scans - this is normal.

1. When you have finished creating an HQV event and capturing the desired scans, hold and pull down on either the HQV Events screen , or the HQV event list as pictured below. This will send the scans up to the cloud for processing.

Note: Upload time will vary depending on the number of scans being uploaded at one time, the speed of the network or Wi-Fi connection being used, as well as the size of the scans.

2. When the scans have been processed, size and color results will display with its associated Harvest Quality Vision Event.

3. Size resultsResults will be displayed in 5mm size bands on the app by default. The number of fruit detected /(AKA the number of fruit included in the results) will be displayed at the top.

4. The size bands can now be changed to any increment between 1 to 5 mm. Simply select the option for Size Band.

5. After selecting the Size Band option, you will see a list of size bands to choose from. Select the one you wish to use and you will be returned to the HQV event page with the new size band.

6. To change the size results view to a custom size class range, select Harvest Class below the results and select from your list of Harvest Classes.

7. Color results will be displayed in 15 hue value range groupsThe Color Results show the range of colors present in the fruit. The x-axis is the hue value, and the y-axis is the number of pixels of color detected from the scan that fall within that range of hues. 15 hue values are grouped into each bar to provide a visual summary of the results.

The hue value, in this case, refers to the first # within an RGB color code system. The range is 0-360 with pure red being represented by 0. See Hue Explanation for HQV users for more information on hue.

9. When finished scanning, ensure the device is connected to wifi Wi-Fi or a cellular network so the scans can upload. Results will return to show up your device when they have finished processing.

10. The size over time Size Over Time chart displays the average size of the fruit in the block every time there was a scan takenfrom related HQV events. The x-axis is the event date. The y-axis is the average size in mm.
