This article will go over the steps to create a new Inspection Template using Croptracker’s Quality Control module on the web browser. Inspections Templates are used and filled out on the Croptracker mobile app. To learn more or add the QC module to your Croptracker account, contact support@croptracker.com

Step-by-step Instructions:

1. Log in to your Croptracker account.

2. From the dashboard hit Quality Control in the top menu bar.

3. Select Inspection Templates from the drop down menu.

4. Hit the blue + New Inspection Template button.

5. Fill in the top section with the Name and Description of the Inspection Template and select ‘Active’ Status.

6. If this inspection will be applied to inventory existing in your Croptracker account (like inventory creating in Harvest, Packing, or HQV events) select Inspection Type ‘Inventory’.

If this inspection will not be tied to existing inventor you can leave this field empty.

7. If applicable, enter a Default number of specimens and optionally select the Specimen unit type.

The Default number of specimens will dictate how many grid slots will be created to fill out on the app if Grid spec types are added to this inspection. This number can be edited on app as needed. The Specimen unit can be selected from the dropdown menu. Choose the most appropriate type. These fields can also be left blank.

8. Hit ‘+ Add a group’ to begin adding specs to this inspection. A group is a way to combine specs together for information organization. An inspection template can have one or multiple groups as needed.

9. Name the Group and provide a Description as needed.

10. Hit the blue ‘+Add Spec’.

11. In the pop up window, select an existing Spec from the drop down list or hit ‘+Add New Spec’.

11 a. If you are adding a new spec type from here, a second window will pop up to Add a New Spec.

11 b. Name the new spec and add a Description as needed.

11 c. Select the appropriate spec Type from the dropdown menu. Each option has a description below.

11 d. Optionally, select the appropriate Unit type from the drop.

11 e. Hit ‘Save’ when done adding a new spec.

12. Hit ‘Save’ when the spec typer has been selected.

13. The new spec will now appear in the list on this group.

More groups and specs can be added following the same process and specs can be reordered using the ‘Move Up’ and ‘Move Down’ buttons the right hand side.

14. Hit ‘Save’ in the upper right hand corner when done.

15. Templates can be edited at any time by hitting ‘Edit’ in the actions column.
