This article describes how to print scannable, Croptracker employee badges.

  1. Under the Punch Clock menu at the top of the screen, select Employees from the drop down menu.
  2. To print an individual employee badge, click the dropdown arrow next to the Edit button, then click Print Badge.
  3. To print multiple employee badges, click the Print Employee Badges button near the top right of the screen.
  4. In the dialog that appears, select one or more employees whose badges you wish to print.

To quickly select multiple employees from the dropdown, use Spacebar to open the dropdown, Up/Down Arrow Keys to highlight an option, and Enter to select it.

  5. Select the desired Badge Format. Feel free to experiment with each format to find what will work best for your operation. Here's a brief summary of each format:
    1. Horizontal Employee Badge: 3.5" by 2.25" landscape orientation badge
    2. Vertical Employee Badge: 2.25" by 3.5" portrait orientation badge
    3. Avery 05390: Designed to print onto the Avery 05390's 4x2 grid format, for a total of 8 employee badges per sheet.
    4. Photo variations: All above formats are available in a photo-variant, which will print the employee's photo to the badge.

  6. After clicking Print, a PDF will open in a new tab where you can use your browser's controls to print.

Note: Croptracker uses the employee's Employee Number to generate the badge's scannable QR code, meaning only employees with an employee number can have badges printed. Click here to learn how to generate employee numbers using Croptracker.
