5. After selecting a location, the camera will open and you will be prompted to take a photo.

6. Once the photo is taken, the new event will be created. It may take a moment for SQV to detect the fruit in the photo and estimate their starch scores.

Info

You can record pressure and brix readings in Starch Quality Vision Events.

For more information on recording pressure, see Recording Pressure in Starch Quality Vision.

For more information on recording brix, see Recording Brix in Starch Quality Vision.

7. If you need to retake the photo, simply tap the ‘Take New Photo’ button below the current photo.

Note

Taking a new photo will remove the previous photo and its starch data.

8. When the photo has been processed, starch results will show up for that event. You may need to swipe down on the screen to refresh the page.

You can see a summary of the results in the Starch Pattern Index section. Below that, there is a chart showing how the average starch score has changed over time in that location. This chart is made based on information from other SQV events.

9. Tapping on the ‘Advanced’ section will open up more editing options.

  • Tap on ‘Unit’ to select the unit of measure for pressure readings.

  • Tap on ‘Location’ to change the location associated with the starch sample.

  • Tap on ‘Date/Time’ to make changes to the date and time of the starch test.

  • Tap on ‘Notes’ to add any notes to the event.
