Excerpt
This step-by-step guide describes how to receive pallets in a receiving event.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Create a receiving event. See How to Record Receiving for more information.
  2. At the bottom of the receiving edit form are two lanes labeled Loaded and Unloaded. The Loaded lanes shows inventory currently loaded on the truck, in transit or at the dock. The Unloaded lane lists inventory that has been unloaded and potentially stored, packed, etc. Click the + Add Pallets button in whichever context is appropriate for your case. Pallets that are loaded on a truck are not considered available and will not appear on any inventory reports.
  3. See How to Create a Pallet for more information on creating pallets.
  4. Click the Save button in the pallet modal.
  5. Once the pallet has been saved it will be listed in either the Loaded or Unloaded lane - depending on where the + Add Pallets button was clicked.
  6. To unload one or more pallets select the pallet in the Loaded lane and click the Unload Selected (#) button. Pallets in the unloaded status are now available for other events to use.
  7. To re-load one or more pallets select the pallet in the Unloaded lane and click the Load Selected (#) button.
