Crop Load Vision Event Set Up

This document contains step by step instructions for setting up a Crop Load Vision event on the Croptracker mobile app.

Step by Step Instructions:

  1. Login to the Croptracker mobile app.

  2. From the main page, select ‘Crop Load Vision’

3. This screen displays a list of all Crop Load Vision events. (Existing Crop Load Vision events can be added to by selecting them from the list.) To add a new event, hit the plus button in the top right corner.

4. Choose a Location. This will display a filterable list of growing areas within your Croptracker account. For the purposes of Crop Load Vision, it is important to add the relevant information to your growing areas including the tree count. For more information on adding growing areas, see this article.

5. Optionally add tap on the ‘Advanced’ drop down menu to add more information to this event.

  • The Start date will default to the time the event was created and can be changed if events are being created in advance. Optionally add an End date to the event.

  • The Status will default to ACTIVE and can be changed as needed.

  • Optionally select the Categories.

  • Optionally Title the event.

  • Optionally add Comments or Notes.

6. When the Crop Load Vision Event details are finalized, hit the ‘+Add tree’ button at the bottom of the screen.

7. Optionally add tap on the ‘Advanced’ drop down menu to add more information to this tree.

Note: This information is important for telling the system about the sample size represented in the scan and can be filled in after scans have been added to the tree.

  • The Manual count can optionally be added. (This process can be used to help validate the CLV scan information when on boarding.)

  • The Percent of the tree scanned refers to how much of the tree has been captured within the attached scans. Eg. if you scan the full half of a tree, the percentage would be 50%. If you only scanned a branch, the percentage will be lower. The method and percentage of the tree scanned will vary depending on crop type and growing style. Work with your Croptracker On Boarding support staff to determine the best methods for you.

  • Optionally add Comments, a Date and a Tree identification number or name.

8. When ready, hit the ‘Add Scan’ button at the bottom of the screen to begin scanning.

Note: Scanning technique and amount will vary depending on crop type and growing style. Check the CLV Knowledge Base and talk to your Croptracker On Boarding support staff to determine the best methods for you.

9. More trees can be added to a single Crop Load event as needed. This will increase the sample size and produce a more accurate estimate. For training and more information on tree scanning, please contact support@croptracker.com
