How to Ship Against an Order

This document contains a step by step guide on how to ship pallets against an order. You will need the Shipping and Order Desk modules to access this feature.

If a pallet is already linked to a consignment sale or sales order and you want to ship against that transaction then you can skip to Load Pallets Against Transaction. The transaction will be linked to the shipment when the pallet is loaded.

Step-By-Step Guide

From a Shipping Event

  1. Create a consignment sale or sales order. See How to Create a Consignment Sale and How to Create a Sales Order for more information.

  1. Create a shipping event. See How to Record Shipping for more information.

  1. In the Shipping Event and under the Loaded lane heading is a table listing transactions that are connected to the event. Click the + Add Transaction to This Even button to attach a Transaction.

  1. Select the Transaction you want to ship against from the dropdown.

You can ship against more than one transaction per shipment.

  1. Enter a Reference Number, Appointment Date, Confirmation Number, Temp. Sensor Type and Temp. Sensor Reference No. if applicable.

 

From a Transaction

  1. Create a consignment sale or sales order. See How to Create a Consignment Sale and How to Create a Sales Order for more information.

  1. Click the Save and Ship button. This will automatically create a shipping event with the new transaction already linked and redirect you to it.

  1. Enter a Reference NumberAppointment DateConfirmation NumberTemp. Sensor Type and Temp. Sensor Reference No. if applicable.

 

Load Pallets Against Transaction

  1. Under the Loaded lane check the checkbox next to the Transaction you want to load pallets against.

If no transaction is selected and the pallet is linked to a consignment sale or sales order then the pallet's transaction will automatically be linked to the shipping event upon loading.

  1. Click the three dots next to a pallet and click Load Pallet to load against the transaction.

 

  • The only pallets available will be those whose product matches the product on the transaction.

  • If the pallet still is not visible in the Available list, check the filters at the top.

    • Date Range - The pallet’s pack date

    • Source Location - The Storage Location set on the pallet

    • Tag - The pallet tag

    • Inventory - For shipping raw inventory instead of pallets

    • Product - Filter by a specific product. This is usually preselected by the transaction

    • Transaction - Filter by a specific transaction

  1. Confirm the transaction is assigned to these pallets in the Loaded lane. The transaction number and date will appear on pallets that are loaded against the transaction.

  1. When you have finished loading all of your pallets click the Save and Ship Load button.

For Consignment Orders and Transfers Only

If any of the transactions linked to this event are linked to another Croptracker user then a corresponding receiving event will be generated with a copy of the associated pallets.

  1. Click the Print Waybill to print the shipping waybill for this load.

  1. Confirm a Receipt No. is present on the waybill for linked transactions. This is the reference number for the receiver to look up in their Croptracker account.
