Piecemeal Calculations in Punch Clock Reports
This document contains information on how Croptracker calculates payouts for piecemeal work to ensure all employees are paid at least minimum wage. You will need the Punch Clock module to access this feature.

Croptracker's reports ensure that employees are always paid at least the specified minimum wage, even when paying by piece. This means if any employee doesn't pick at least minimum wage's worth of pieces during the specified window of time, they will be paid hourly for their time. How these windows of time are broken down can have an impact on the employee's payout. Consider the following worklogs from Bob's work week:

Method #1: Sum the greater of Piece vs. Hourly payout for each individual worklog
$28 + $10 + $56 + $20 = $114
The Harvest Piecemeal Pay Report uses Method #1 to calculate payouts.
Method #2: Compare sum of piece payouts per day to sum of hourly payouts per day
Monday pieces: $28 + $7 = $35
Monday hours: $20 + $10 = $30
Tuesday pieces: $56 + $7 = $63
Tuesday hours: $50 + $20 = $70
Total: $35 + $70 = $105
The Employee Payroll Report uses Method #2 to calculate payouts.
Method #3: Compare sum of all piece payouts to sum of all hourly payouts for a whole pay period
Pay period pieces: $28 + $7 + $56 + $7 = $98
Pay period hours: $20 + $10 + $50 + $20 = $100
Total: $100
