How to Ship Pallets (App)

This article demonstrates the steps to ship pallets using the Croptracker mobile app.

Requirements:

  • Shipping (mobile)

Prerequisites:

  • These steps assume the user has already created a transaction and has pallets available to ship against the transaction

  1. Log in to the Croptracker app and navigate to Shipping

  1. From the Shipping Events screen tap the + button in the upper right corner to create a new Shipping Event

  1. Tap the Details tab to edit the Shipping Event details

Required fields marked by *

  • Shipping Date*: The date of the shipment

  • Checkout Date: The date the sale was confirmed

  • Waybill Number: The ID assigned to the shipment

  • Title: The title of the Shipping Event as it displays in the app and web

  • Categories: Set the Event Category to group multiple events together

  • Status*

    • Active: Visible on mobile and web

    • Archived: Only visible in reports

    • Deleted: Removed from the system

    • Confirmed: Not used for Shipping

    • Published: Not used for Shipping

  • Responsible Person: The contact assigned to the event

  • Carrier: The name of the transportation company that operates the truck, or the USDOT/CVOR number

  • Truck: The identification of the truck, often the license plate

  • Shipping Location: The location from the Croptracker account where the shipment is leaving from. This can be a Site or Farm

  • Transaction: The orders set on the shipping event that the loaded items will ship against

  • Comments: A text field for extra info to add to reports regarding the shipment

  • Notes: A text field for extra info regarding the shipment that does not appear in reports

  1. Tap the Load tab to view the transactions on the Event.

  2. Tap + Attach Transaction to add a new one to the Event

  1. Tap the transaction from the list to attach it to the Shipping Event, or to create a new Transfer or Consignment Sale transaction, tap the + button in the upper right corner

  • If you are attaching an existing transaction, skip to step 11.

  • If you are attaching a Transfer, proceed to step 7

  • If you are attaching a Consignment Sale, skip to step 9

  1. If creating a Transfer or Consignment Sale you will be asked to select an origin location

  1. Enter the details about the Transfer:

  • Transfer Number: The identification number for the transfer

  • Status: The status of the transfer

  • Order Date: The date the items were ordered

  • Shipping Date: The date the items are expected to be shipped

  • Delivery Date: The date the items are expected to be delivered

  • Origin: The origin location of the inventory or pallets

  • Destination: The delivery destination selected from the list of farms from the Field Map

  • Comments: A text field for extra info to add to reports regarding the shipment

  • Notes: A text field for extra info regarding the shipment that does not appear in reports

  1. If creating a Consignment Sale you will be asked to select a customer

  1. Enter the details about the Consignment Sale:

  • Transaction Number: The identification number for the transaction

  • Reference Number: A field used to enter an additional identification number for the transaction

  • Customer: The name of the customer/company for the order

  • Address: The delivery address of the order

  • Status: The status of the transaction

  • Order Date: The date the items were ordered

  • Shipping Date: The date the items are expected to be shipped

  • Delivery Date: The date the items are expected to be delivered

  • Origin: The origin location of the inventory or pallets

  • Comments: A text field for extra info to add to reports regarding the shipment

  • Notes: A text field for extra info regarding the shipment that does not appear in reports

  1. Tap anyhwere on the Sales Order to begin loading inventory/pallets against it

You can tap the three dots to Edit the transaction to make corrections

  1. Tap the button Scan Harvest or Pallet Tag to begin scanning tags, or tap the + in the upper right corner to select items manually

  1. Tap the pallet or inventory to load it against the order

  1. Tap the three dots next to the inventory to Split or Unload the item or tap the back arrow to go back to the Shipping Events list

  1. On the Shipping Events list tap the three dots next to Shipping Event to bring up the actions menu, and then tap Ship to complete the transaction

  • Other items in this actions menu include:

    • Edit: edit the Shipping Event

    • Archive: hide the Shipping Event from the mobile app list

    • Delete: remove the Shipping Event from the system

Be sure to remove items from the Shipping Event prior to deleting the event

  1. Once the event is shipped you can log into the Croptracker website to print the Waybill and/or Bill of Lading
